Things to do in Zambia
Livingstone - experience rafting at the Victoria Falls
Located on the borders of Zambia and Zimbabwe, on the Zambezi River, the Victoria Falls are the largest waterfalls in the world. They are certainly some of the most impressive, due to there massive width of 1,700 metres and drop of over 100 metres. There are numerous locations around the falls where you can get magnificent views and take many snap shots. The surrounding area also is excellent for exciting, downstream, white water rafting.
Livingstone - go for swim in the Devil's Pool
For a major adrenaline rush take a trip to Livingstone Island, at the top of Victoria Falls. Follow this by going for a swim in the Devil’s Pool, and try peering over the edge of the falls, but be careful. This is only possible during the dry season, when the force of the water slackens, and will not sweep you over the falls. Only 60 people a day can take this unique opportunity, and you must be a reasonably good, strong swimmer. Although there are guide ropes to assist you, this is definitely not for the faint hearted.
Introduction to Zambia
Zambia is a small country in central Africa with borders with Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Botswana to name a few.

It is, therefore, a popular spot with those touring this part of Africa and there are many good hotels in Zambia.

There are vast differences between the high and low ends of the market for hotels in Zambia.

If you are prepared to pay a little over the odds, you can lay your head in an exclusive resort with its own restaurant, spa and gym facilities.

For those looking for more moderately priced Zambia hotels, the independent lodgings can be a good bet.

Those with very little cash to spare, however, will probably have to make do with campsites or dormitories, but most of these have good facilities and are clean.

Your best bet if you want to be comfortable is to stick to the big cities and towns, but you can have more of a memorable experience if you venture off the beaten track for Zambia hotels.
