Aden - take a trip to the Socotra Archipelago
The Socotra Archipelago is a series of 6 islands or islets in the Gulf of Aden, just off the coast of Yemen. The city of Sana’a is possibly the world’s longest continuously inhabitant city, as it dates back over 8,000 years. It is also one of the highest capital cities in the world. It came to particular importance in the early days of Islam and now is home to more than 103 mosques, many built in the 11th century.
