Weather in Cardiff
The hottest weather occurs in July and August, when temperatures can reach the high 20s. June is the driest month, with the city experiencing its least average rainfall; as well as its greatest number of daylight hours. June is an excellent time to visit, as the combination of warm weather, drier conditions and lower numbers of tourists make the timing just about perfect.
The winter months, from October to February, are the coldest and also the wettest period, with temperatures often dropping below freezing in December, January and February. These months also see fewer tourists; but if you do plan to visit during this time, be sure to dress warmly. You’ll need a heavy coat, scarf and probably an umbrella.
