By air: Cardiff International Airport (CWL) is quite a small facility, but offers passenger comfort and excellent amenities nonetheless. It’s located to the east of the city centre, connected by rail, bus and taxi. A large number of operators from originating points in the UK and on the continent provide frequently scheduled service to Cardiff.
By train: Cardiff’s mail rail station is conveniently situated in the centre and also quite near the main bus terminal. Several rail operators provide service to Cardiff from points around the UK. These include First Great Western, Virgin Trains and Wales and West. Trains from London run frequently, and are quite fast. There’s also services which connect to Cardiff International Airport.
The city’s main bus terminal is located on Wood Street in the centre, where you’ll be able to purchase tickets and find service timetables.
By ferry: ferry service from mainland Europe is provided by Brittany Ferries and Stena Line. For travellers from Ireland, Condor Ferries run regularly-scheduled direct services from Dublin to Holyhead, from Rosslare to Fishsword and from Cork to Swansea.
