Introduction to Wrexham, Wales
Wrexham is a large town in northeast Wales, sited between the Berwyn Mountains and the Welsh border with Cheshire. Most of the hotels in Wrexham are situated in the town centre adjacent to the railway station and the magnificent St Giles Church. Wrexham Town Centre features many historic buildings and is also packed with shops and shopping arcades. Its Monday Market draws shoppers from far and wide. Wrexham Hotels are a short walk from traditional pubs, fast food outlets and cafes as well as being a short drive from many of the region’s attractions which are perfect for daytrips from Wrexham hotels. These include Chester, Llangolen, Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse and castles. The Berwyn Mountains feature a number of walking trails offering wonderful views of pristine countryside, and castle ruins. The River Dee has opportunities for white-water kayaking. Chester is ringed by medieval walls that can be walked around, and is full of unusual buildings and shops.
