New Quay is a small seaside town with a population in the region of 1,200 inhabitants, in the Welsh county of Ceredigion. The town, with its two harbours and three beautiful beaches, is a popular destination among tourists. When strolling along the harbour, it is common to spot bottlenose dolphins swimming in Cardigan Bay, and there are a number of seafood restaurants in this area. The beaches boast miles of golden sands and good swimming conditions, with the harbour beach being the most popular of the three. New Quay has a marine wildlife centre where you can arrange boat trips to go dolphin spotting, as well as a heritage centre and an interesting variety of local shops. There are several New Quay hotels to choose from, while the town's outskirts feature many large caravan sites and holiday parks. The town hosts the Cardigan Bay Regatta, which is usually held in August and has events such as rowing, swimming and dinghy racing.
