Introduction to Llansantffraid, Wales
Located in the centre of Wales, in the county of Powys, Llansantffraid is a small, historic town with plenty of ancient attractions. Archeological digs here have unearthed artefacts dating back more than 4,000 years, including Beaker pottery which belongs to the Bronze Age. On top of nearby Foel Hill is evidence of an Iron Age settlement, including ramparts and a ditch, and Plas-Yn-Dinas is known as one of Wales' key historic sites where a number of earthworks have been found. Today, however, there are only pubs and a park in and around this site that attract visitors. In the centre of Llansantffraid are a number of attractive old buildings, including a church and old chapel that help make the town a typically charming Welsh community. Llansantffraid hotels are fairly numerous despite the town's small size, with most located to the west of the town centre on the A495 road where it intersects with the B4393.other spellings: llansantffradihotels, otelin llansantfriad, llansantffarid hotell, llansantfrfaid hote
