Introduction to Llanfyllin, Wales
Llanfyllin is a village of around 1,500 people, located in the county of Powys, Mid Wales. It is on the A490 road between Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant and Welshpool. The village is situated in an ideal place to visit both the delightful Welsh Border country and the heart of Wales. There are a number of walking routes in the town and the surrounding area, with many popular hiking trails passing through the surrounding hills, making it a popular destination among outdoor lovers and nature enthusiasts. Another trail is the short walk from the Y Dolydd workhouse up the hill to the so-called Lonely Tree. Legend states that those planning on staying in the area have to trek up the hill and hug the tree. There are not many Llanfyllin hotels, although there are a number of self-catering cottages to choose from. The village has a delightful cottage-style restaurant as well as a local primary and secondary school. other spellings: llanfyllnihotels, llanfyliln otel, llanfyllin hotell, lanflylin hote, hotes in llanyfllin
