Introduction to Llandudno - City Centre
Historically known as the 'Queen of the Welsh Resorts', Llandudno has a long tradition of providing comfort and relaxation for holidaymakers. On a flat stretch of land between the Great Orme Peninsula and the Welsh mainland, this town is now the largest seaside resort in the country. Llandudno Pier is a major attraction here, home to the famous seaside promenade and the Pier Pavilion Theatre as well as a nice range of shops, cafes, children's rides and amusement arcades. Mostyn Street is the main shopping area, with the town's high street shops, churches and other useful services. From the town library on Mostyn, visitors can start the Town Trail self-guided walk that showcases the history of Llandudno. Trinity Square, in front of the main cathedral, is often the site of fairs and special events. Hotels in Llandudno City Centre are a good choice for travellers who want to walk to everything, from shopping and dining to the charismatic promenade. other spellings: CityCentre hotls, hotel in CityCentre
