Introduction to Llandrindod Wells, Wales
Located in central Wales, the small Victorian-flavoured town of Llandridod Wells is popular among nature-lovers and outdoor sports enthusiasts. Llandridod railway station is the main public transportation access to the town offering excellent service to the rest of the United Kingdom. The main road is Temple Street, where you will find most of the amenities such as restaurants, pubs and boutique shops. Visitors will have the option to choose from historic Llandrindod Wells hotels, inns, and guest houses, most of which are quite small so visitors should look to book in advance of their arrival. Visitors should take time to enjoy Rock Park and the Common, the two popular green areas of the town. These pleasant spots have walking paths, ponds and benches ideal for a relaxing outdoor afternoon. During August, the Llandridod Wells Victorian Festival draws big crowds to soak in the Victorian costumes, open-air music concerts and craft fair. The town’s historic Albert Hall is one site for this festival as well as the Drama Festival held each May.
