Introduction to Llandovery, Wales

A small market town in Wales, Llandovery is home to a handful of interesting tourist attractions and its striking castle. Most of the Llandovery hotels are located on either side of the High Street or A40, all of which are independent or family-owned inns, guest houses and bed and breakfasts in every price range. The main attraction is the Llandovery Castle and Monument to Llewelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan. These attractions are easily accessed from the town centre or the railway station, located in the north-western end of town. The small nature of the town means that you can walk just about anywhere, and all tourist amenities are located within easy access to the railway station. Many visitors use the town as a base for exploring the western section of Brecon Beacons National Park, located just minutes away. Others use it as a stopover on their way to Pembrokeshire and other popular towns in western Wales.
