Introduction to Haverfordwest, Wales
Most visitors to Haverfordwest, western Wales, stay in the town centre. However, there are plenty of Haverfordwest hotels scattered around the town on either side of the River Cleddau. The main road access to the town is the A4076/A40 or Cartlett road, which provides easy access to the town’s railway station. Tourist amenities in the town are generally clustered together in the centre around Barn Street, and it is here where visitors will find a mixture of international restaurants, take-aways and traditional pubs serving local favourites. The main sightseeing attraction in town is the ruined Haverfordwest Castle, situated adjacent to the town museum. However, many visitors to the town come for the nearby draws of the Pembrokeshire coast and its national park. Within the park visitors can take in St David’s cathedral, in the UK’s smallest city, and the bird haven of Ramsey Island. There are also dozens of beaches to enjoy, some of which offer surfing.other spellings: haverfordwetshotels, haverfordwset otel, haverfordewst hotell, haverforwdest hote
