Introduction to Crickhowell, Wales
Crickhowell is located in the southern part of Mid Wales. Most visitors come here to explore the Black Mountains, the town’s ruined 12th century castle or the surrounding natural beauty of Brecon Beacons National Park, a favourite spot among hillwalkers. Crickhowell hotels are spread out throughout the town and offer something for every budget. The main thoroughfare is Beaufort Street, or the A40, where most of the small town’s tourist amenities are found. The town centre is lines with historic buildings, such as an old rectory and beautiful old stately homes, while crossing the Usk River is a charming 7th century bridge. Shops in the town are mostly family owned. Tourist amenities include low-key restaurants, traditional pubs, two children’s playgrounds and an art gallery. The best time to visit Crickhowell is outside of the busy summer months, when the compact centre can become overrun with visitors.other spellings: crickhowellhotels, crickhowlel otel, crickhoewll hotell, crickhwoell hote, crickohwell
