Introduction to Betws-y-Coed, Wales
Betws-y-Coed is one of the most popular villages in Wales for tourists. It is perfectly located on the A5, which heads towards London. A popular village for those who visit the area for mountain climbing and rambling, the village has a few shops dedicated to outdoor adventure. As one of the main tourist resorts in Snowdonia National Park, the village offers many activities for travelers, such as mountain biking, hill walking and even skiing. When visiting the areas of Snowdonia near the Conwy Valley, visitors have the choice of many Betws-y-Coed hotels. Commonly called BTC, the village itself has little in the way of sightseeing, but nearby locations like Swallow Falls and the Ugly House (Ty Hyll) make for nice excursions. For beginner hillwalkers who want to get started, a visit to the National Mountain Centre of Plas y Brenin in nearby Capel Curig is a must. Here visitors can get trained in everything from skiing to rock climbing in order to make the most of this scenic part of Wales.other spellings: bettws-y-codehotels, bettwsy ceod hotell, betsw-y-oced hote, betw-yc-oed
