Introduction to Anglesey, Wales
The Welsh island of Anglesey has many attractions such as the Anglesey Model Village and the Stone Science Museum, which visitors flock to each year. Places to stay are located on the coasts and along the main A55 road through the centre of the island. There are a handful of modern Anglesey hotels which are near to the Anglesey Racing Circuit. Other popular tourist attractions are Beaumaris Castle, The Anglesey Sea Zoo and Plas Newydd, where the Marquis of Anglesey’s estate with its incredible views of Snowdonia is situated. Designated an Area of Outstanding National Beauty, much of the central part of the island is protected and uninhabited, but accessible for tourism. Many accommodation options have a restaurant and a bar located in house or nearby, for maximum convenience. Due to the remoteness of most areas, staying on the island is a very peaceful experience.
