By train: Nha Trang is easily reached from Ho Chi Minh City to the south or Hue and Hanoi to the north. Trains arrive and depart at Nha Trang Train Station (near the cathedral) daily. It is best to reserved sleeper seats for the train journey, as they are much more comfortable even if travelling only by day.
By bus: is a popular method of reaching Nha Trang. Long distance bus services run up and down Highway 1, linking the city with Ho Chi Minh City to the south and cities such as Hue and Hanoi to the north. The main bus station is just west of the city centre, while tour buses drop passengers off at the most popular tourist areas.
By road: from Ho Chi Minh City, the route to Nha Trang is straightforward. Simply head north on Highway 1 and hang on, as the road condition is quite bumpy in places. The journey will take around ten hours by car and a little longer by motorcycle.
