The most regular of international flights are to the Asian hubs of Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, from where cheap international connections can be made. In total, 22 airlines serve 18 European and Asian destinations.
The majority of flights are operated by national carrier Vietnam Airlines, while Pacific Airlines also offers some internal routes. Other popular carriers that serve the terminal include: Air France, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, KLM, Lufthansa, Malaysian Airlines, Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways.
Having undergone expansion in recent years, the single terminal now provides adequate amenities for travellers, with money changing facilities, a visitors’ information centre, shopping including duty-free, a snack bar and lockers.
Business passengers can make use of the airport’s business and first class lounge, which do not offer comprehensive business facilities but do however provide a quiet and comfortable escape from the main departures lounge.

Most people choose to hop into a taxi for the sake of convenience, with metered rates. Usually you get hustled by a whole troupe of taxi drivers, sometimes before even leaving the terminal and have to settle for an inflated but not unreasonable set rate.
There is no bus or train services into the city from the airport itself but metered cabs waiting outside Arrivals Hall to whisk you into the city (20 to 30 minutes). Limousines are available for those wishing to travel in style.
