Long Hai is a fishing village, which is somewhat of a quiet retreat a couple of hours drive from Ho Chi Min City. The area is a long white sandy beach and has a micro climate with the protection coming from the natural landscape. The area has a recent history with caves adorning the beach front and from here you can catch a stunning view along the coastline. There are hotels in Long Hai with most being guesthouses to suit the independent traveller however there are larger resorts for those looking for a bit more comfort with beach front bungalows being very comfortable and reasonably priced. Most of the hotels in Long Hai will provide information on tours, excursions and day trips including a visit to the hot springs at Bhin Chau and the underground tunnels at Dia Dao. If you are looking for a bustling nightlife then this probably isn’t the place to go but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to enjoy and use the Long Hai hotels as a base to explore the surrounding area.
