The most enticing reason to travel to Ho Chi Minh South West is its close proximity to the Mekong Delta. It is a short journey from the centre of the city and once there, visitors are able to take boat cruises to get an idea of how local communities live as well as take in the natural beauty of the region. At Thoi Son Island in the Mekong Delta, there is a large amount of tropical fruit growing, which tourists are free to taste. The Vinh Trang Pagoda here is also worth taking in. Also in Ho Chi Minh South West, but closer to the centre of the city, are a large amount of parks and a decent shopping area known locally as Cho Binh Dien. On the edge of the city centre, the Vietnamese Fine Arts Museum can be found.
