Introduction to Danang - City Centre
Danang in Vietnam is quickly becoming a popular and world-class beach resort. People staying in hotels in Danang have the benefit of being in the hustle and bustle of an up-and-coming city while remaining within a stone’s throw of beautiful Vietnamese beaches and the South China Sea coast. As well as a popular beach resort, however, Danang City Centre is also close to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Founded in 1915, Cham Museum is a popular place for tourists to visit. It is home to a stunning collection of stone sculptures which were created by the Cham civilization which occupied parts of central Vietnam until the 14th century. Only nine kilometres south from here is the Marble Mountains. The popular pilgrimage site boasts numerous caves, grottoes and temples which are well worth exploring. For home comforts, around 40kms west of town is the area of Ba Na, which sites 1,487 metres above sea level.
