Weather

Weather in Vanuatu
The best months for hiking are May to July, which bring cooler and drier weather and June to September, when evenings on the southern islands can be invigorating. November to April is the rainy season, even though tropical rain showers can come at any time.
The trade winds from the south-east blow steadily all year round, although in April and October they are stronger and more consistent. In the rainy season, northern and western winds blow under the influence of typhoons and tropical low pressure systems. Vanuatu is struck by more hurricanes than any other South Pacific nation.
