The National Museum: is housed in the Vanuatu Cultural Centre in Port Vila. The permanent exhibits include a large selection of traditional artefacts, from masks and slit gongs to mats and scale models of outrigger canoes, pre-historic shells, fossils, pottery, animals and birds from every island. As well as an exciting series of varying temporary exhibitions, daily video screenings of documentaries on aspects of Vanuatu’s culture and history are offered. Continuing on the same road, Diana Tam Home Art Gallery features fine art, gifts and souvenirs, including table linen, glassware, prints and gift cards made with oils and watercolours. | |
