Getting There

Getting to Vanuatu
By air: Air Vanuatu (NF) is the national airline, offering regular connections between Port Vila and Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne (Australia) and Auckland (New Zealand). The main airport is located in Bauerfield, six kilometres from the capital Port Vila. Buses and taxis are available into town with a travel time of 15 minutes.
Facilities at the airport include a bank/bureaux de change, left luggage, duty-free shops, restaurants, bars and a club lounge for business class passengers.
By cargo ship: if you have plenty of time on your hands, it may be possible to get a berth on a freighter calling at Vanuatu. Typically, these ships only take a few passengers and offer basic facilities and services. For itineraries, visit: www.freighterworld.com
