Introduction to Boston, Massachusetts
Located along the Massachusetts Bay on the eastern coast of the United States, Boston is one of America's largest metropolises. The greater Boston area is home to nearly eight million people and it is no wonder that hotels number in the hundreds. Like any large city, there are warm and welcome accommodations that cater to everyone from backpackers on a budget to the most affluent of business travellers and tourists. The vast majority of upscale Boston hotels are located near Boston Common, the oldest public park in America. Travellers on a budget should consider getting on Interstate 90 or Interstate 93 headed away from downtown. Once you are outside of the area. Proper you will begin to see signs for national budget chains and smaller family orientated properties that offer comfortable accommodation and a more affordable price. If you are more comfortable outside of the city, consider staying in one of the seven outlaying counties considered commuter areas for greater vicinity.
