Positioned in Connecticut's charming Hartford County, Southington is just 20 miles away from Hartford, which is the state's capital, and about 80 miles away from New York City. It is home to three neighbourhoods that are known as Milldale, Marion and Plantsville. Every neighbourhood represents its distinct architectural style and several Southington hotels. In 2002 the town took initiative spurring its own revitalisation with the completion of the town centre's renaissance project.
