Introduction to Irvine, California
Irvine is a large, modern city in Orange County California that has been built up around the University of California Irvine. The city features several interesting attractions but most of the visitors making use of the hotels in Irvine are likely to be here on business rather than here to see the sights. It is more of a place to live and work in than a place to holiday in. Shopping malls, fast food restaurants, cinemas, amusement parks, a water park and go karts are all within reach of most of the accommodations and getting around is probably best by car. There are a few good beaches within driving distance of the properties that are popular, particularly Crystal Cove State Beach a little to the south of Newport Beach. Alternatively, nearby Laguna Beach provide visitors with a nice selection of shops and restaurants in addition to its sea and sand.
