Attractions in Jumeirah Beach
The Jumeirah name has come to signify luxury and often appears attached to clubs, resorts and even a hotel chain, aiming to make them seem all that more appealing and exclusive. Attractions for the family in the Jumeirah Beach area include the Camel Race Track, Internet City and the Wild Wadi Water Park, among others.
Jumeirah Beach Park: Jumeirah’s public beach boasts white sand and crystal-clear waters, making it ideal for visitors staying at nearby hotels and resorts. The massive park here provides plenty of facilities to make a family outing to the beach enjoyable.
Wild Wadi Water Park: is a great place to visit if you’re looking for some adventure – while still in the city. Families can enjoy hours of exciting water rides and activities. There’s a hidden ‘lagoon’ here, as well as cliffs, waterfalls, swimming holes tucked away in secret spots, a tidal pool and many types of water slides. The Wild Wadi complex is very easy to reach, as it’s just a short walk from the top hotels and resorts at Jumeirah Beach.
Al Safa Park: is one of the oldest public parks in Dubai. It was established in 1976, and soon became one of the most popular family spots around.
Camel Race Track: is a must-visit attraction here, and is likely to be one of the memorable experiences of your trip. The track is situated at the edge of the city, where races are scheduled for Thursdays and Fridays during the winter months – coinciding with the high season.
You can take in the racing excitement from grandstand seats, and also wander around the paddock area and vendor stalls. If you’re looking to buy something to remember your visit, you’ll find camel accessories – including beads, blankets and rugs all for sale here.
Jumeirah Mosque is one of the city’s most popular – and most photographed – sites. Its interior can be visited on guided tours beginning at 10:00 on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Madinat Jumeirah: is an architecturally noteworthy complex also known as Jumeirah City, comprising two five-star hotels, residential areas and a shopping mall. It claims to epitomise the best that Dubai has to offer in terms of hospitality and services.
