Introduction to Kemer - Tekirova
Tekirova is one of the villages around the popular Turkish seaside destination of Kemer. With the Taurus Mountains behind and the Mediterranean Sea in front, Tekirova presents visitors with a great combination of nature to go with the town's lively beach scene. This is not an ancient part of Turkey, so don't expect a great deal of ruins or charming traditional villages. Tekirova was custom built for the tourist industry, so everything revolves around the beach. A couple of nice little parks, Ataturk Park and Cocuk Bahcesi, give travellers a spot to spread out on the grass when the beach wears thin. Hotels in Tekirova tend to be nice resorts along the beach and just inland. The town itself has a decent strip of places to eat, drink and do some shopping for supplies and sundries. As much of the area around Kemer is spread out, renting a car is a good choice here.
