Introduction to Alanya - Tosmur
A quiet district situated east from Alanya, Tosmur offers tranquillity, natural beauty, and rural surroundings for the entire family. The district's green surroundings are ideal for walking enthusiasts as there are scenic tracks leading to Taurus Mountains. In addition, Tosmur boasts a wonderful beach promenade with markets and shops located nearby. Most of Tosmur hotels can be booked online. Alanya, with a population of 250,000, is an extensive international Mediterranean holiday resort that mainly attracts visiting tourists from European countries. While staying here, tourists should not miss visiting the enormous Seljuk Turkish fortress that dominates the resort from its promontory; the epitomising, tall Red Tower (Seljuk Kizilkule); and the shipyard (Tersane). However, this historic town's main attractions are its warm waters and long stretches of sandy beaches.
