Nightlife in Tunis
The larger hotels feature their own in-house bars and discos with the El Hana International hotel being one of the more popular places to grab a drink of an evening. The medina is largely an alcohol-free zone but the ideal place to enjoy a coffee or mint tea alongside a traditional water pipe.
The northern suburb of La Marsa, is the place where the rich kids hang out and where you’ll find trendy and expensive bars and nightclubs. Avenida Habib Bourguiba is similarly trendy, offering a French boulevard style ambience. For the older crowd, Sidi Bou Said is the place to head for with its cocktail bars and jazz cafes.
