By train: the Tunis to Monastir train line runs via Sousse, providing access to the city from either of these destinations. Trains are economically priced and relatively efficient and run daily, with services throughout the day. Trains come in three classes: second class, first class and 'classe confort'. Second class is fine and adequately comfortable for the majority of passengers. By bus: there are bus services operated by SNTRI to Sousse from other major cities in Tunisia. Services are economically priced but by no means the most convenient or comfortable form of transportation available, invariably being slow and crowded. By air: Skanes-Monastir Airport is the closest facility to Sousse, located just 15kms southeast of the city. Some budget European airlines fly direct to the airport; however, for those visitors not able to take advantage of such connections, a flight to Tunis followed by a connecting flight to Monastir Airport is the easiest option. | |
