Travelogues, or travel literature, are becoming more and more popular owing to the advent of the internet and various natty hardware, such as laptop computers, PDAs, digital cameras and MP3 players. A big step up from the standard journal or diary, a travelogue will generally include photos, video, maps and the unique feelings and experiences of the author at the time. These are then collated into written events for anyone to read. Several prominent and up and coming websites offer free travelogue uploading services where people can upload their worldwide travel experiences for all and sundry to scan over and enjoy as if they were there.
