Maryland Travel Guide
The state of Maryland is divided in two by the Chesapeake Bay and attractions of interest to tourists are situated on both the western and eastern shores of the Chesapeake. Nicknamed ?America in Miniature,? Maryland features farmland, coastline, fishing villages, wealthy suburbs and a bustling urban area - Baltimore. The food on offer is superb, and Maryland blue crab is prized throughout the country. Fine restaurants in both Baltimore and Annapolis feature crab and loads of other fresh seafood on their menus. Maryland?s eastern shore is dotted with quaint historic villages that are as old as America. In its interior, wilderness areas such as Catoctin Mountain Park lure nature lovers; not far from here the sitting American president has a weekend retreat: Camp David.
