Sea and river fishing: there is some great sea and river fishing to be had in the waters around Bergen. The sea fishing is generally unrestricted but you will need a permit for fishing the freshwater rivers and streams. The fjords are also good for a variety of fish such as haddock, cod and mackerel, amongst others. Fishing trips can be booked in the city.
