Central America has increasingly become a well-visited vacation spot. Countries like Mexico and Costa Rica have long been popular among tourists, but with the beautiful tropical surroundings and beaches in the region, other Central American countries are becoming popular destinations. Countries like Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama may not have been big tourist draws in the past, but now thanks to political stability and increased interest in ecotourism these countries are becoming increasingly popular as holiday destinations. Belize especially has quickly grown in popularity as it is the only officially English-speaking nation in Central America.
