Transportations Travel Guide
Transportation options between the Caribbean islands are limited to either flights or boats. Scheduled flights are operated by several regional airlines including Caribbean Star, Winair, LIAT and Caribbean Sun. Most of the main holiday destinations can be reached easily, but the smaller islands may require you to take a ferry. There are also limited shuttle and charter services available with TIA, Air Mustique and SVG Air. The waters around the Caribbean are ideal for sailing and there are numerous companies providing a range of services. If you want complete freedom, then you can charter your own yacht, while those without any sailing experience can join a fully crewed trip. Once on one of the main islands, taxis and buses are the normal modes of transport for getting around. Car hire is available in many places, allowing you to come and go at your own convenience.
