Australasia Directory Destinations
This region, comprising Australia, New Zealand, and small groups of neighbouring islands in the South Pacific, is one of the most diverse continents. Australia is the largest country in Australasia, the world’s largest island and the biggest draw in the region. It features attractive cities, of which Sydney is the crown jewel, expansive outback towns, and incredible natural attractions such as Uluru (Ayres Rock), the Great Barrier Reef, and fantastic beaches. New Zealand is the next major attraction in Australasia/Oceania with its unceasing seismic activity, huge mountains and extreme sports. Papua New Guinea, Micronesia and Polynesia are also part of the continent of Australasia/Oceania although somewhat tough to get to. Travel to the region is made easy by several international airports.
