Diving and snorkelling: is another major draw card on Koh Pha Ngan and several dive centres are found around the island, particularly at Chaloklum bay which has easy access to nearby reefs. The dive mecca island of Koh Tao is also an hour’s ferry ride north and has more reefs. PADI courses are also offered, but if you haven’t the time or dive licence, you can arrange for half day snorkelling trips or do-it-yourself off the spit at Koh Maa.
