Long street is a popular spot after dark, with both sides of the street lined with bars and eateries; but many visitors head to the even more popular Victorian and Albert (V&A) Waterfront, where numerous bars, restaurants and hotels are found along with plenty of shops. From the waterfront, you can take a ferry to Robben Island, to visit the prison where Nelson Mandela spent so many years.
