Pattaya Beach: is four kilometers long as it borders central Pattaya and is the major launching area for water scooter rentals and for booking boats to visit the nearby islands. The beach curves gently and a tree-lined promenade borders the beach road.
It is lined with low-key beachside restaurants and vendors selling alcohol, and full of loungers for rent. Conveniently located, it can be a bit noisy and swimming isn’t ideal with all the boats moored off the beach.
Alangkarn: this spectacular, Las Vegas style production, is a 75-minute cultural performance that explores Thailand’s history through a multi media, multi-dimension presentation with a cast of over 150 performers, including elephants. The enormous theatre is air-conditioned and serves a pre-show dinner. Showtime is 20.45 every evening.
Sanctuary of Truth: is a remarkable structure on the Na Klua headland that is the result of one man’s obsession with preserving and developing fine arts in Thailand.
Pattaya Park Resort and Amusement Park: a large resort hotel located in Jomtien with a secluded beach area. A tower 240 metres tall contains three revolving restaurants on different floors which give magnificent views of the area. The ‘cable jump’ is an adrenaline pumping 170 metre high, slide-line ride.
Funny Land Amusement Park: includes the Demolition Derby, Family Swinger, Musical Carouse, Samba Tower, Slalom Roller Caster, Swing Vikings Ship, and a Monorail to speed you around the resort.
Pattaya Water Park: is a gigantic water park with slides, jacuzzis, whirlpools and a large pool for children. It is located next to the Pattaya Park Hotel.
Khao Pratamnak: is a low hill at the South end of Pattaya Beach. An asphalt road leads up to the summit where you can enjoy a restful getaway and a panoramic view of Pattaya City and bay.
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden: this sprawling, recreation park is a replica of a Thai village that provides a great place for picnics. There are daily cultural and elephant shows at 10.15am and 15.45pm. Open daily between 08.00 to 18.00, located 18 kilometres south of Pattaya.
The Million Years Stone Park and Pattaya Crocodile Farm: beautifully landscaped grounds with displays of rare albino bears, elephants, and crocodiles. It includes animal performances and crocodile round-ups every day. Open 09.00 to 18.00.
Sriracha Tiger Zoo: is located 20kms north of Pattaya and contains Bengal tigers and crocodiles. The performances include a woman wrestling a crocodile and elephants playing basketball. Open Daily 09.30 to 18.00.
