Beaches: lying on the beach relaxing is what most visitors primarily come here to indulge in. The busiest area, although by no means crowded, is at Ao Nang, which has a long natural-looking beach.
It is some 20 feet below the street level (mercifully saving the resort from the Tsunami), but the area immediately in front of the waterfront area is filled with longtail boats that disturb the peace with their noisy engines. However, the beach continues for a long way to the left, where it is fronted by resorts and has some beach loungers for rent.
Spas: are a popular indulgence when on holiday in Krabi, as they are excellent value, with the Thais being particularly skilled at massage and body care. Affordable for most, numerous spas are found in Ao Nang, some attached to resorts. A day spent here pampering your body is money well spent.
Eating and drinking: has been covered in a separate section and presents a great way to while away an evening, sipping cocktails at the waterfront, eating delicious Thai food or sinking a few local beers. Doing this daily isn’t going to burn through your holiday budget either.
