Koh Samui Travel Guide - Airport

In 1997, Samui Airport was upgraded into a customs airport and now you can find at the airport immigration facilities, customs services, new passenger terminals, and additional direct flight routes into Samui.
Located near Bo Phut Beach, the airport boasts its tropical atmosphere with no indoor areas. It’s a charming ‘island style’ pavilion of modest size, with a low-key and relaxing atmosphere. The airport features 2,100-metre airstrip and the unique open-air passenger terminals.
Other facilities provided for waiting passengers include relaxing areas featuring an open-air restaurant where passengers can dine on Thai food, an airport’s post office and a souvenir shop. You can also get pampered at the newly opened spa, Soul to Sole, offering full session of Thai massage.
Parking: as the airport is very small, long-term parking spaces are not available. A limited parking area for passengers can be found in front of the airport.
