Nature trips: if you have already seen Samui at night when the party lights are on, why not explore Samui by day with a tour that takes you around Samui to admire natural beauty of the island. You can join the trips to visit natural parks and beautiful lagoons. Enjoy walking into caves and discover exquisite hidden beaches.
Cooking schools: there are many cooking courses on the island offering Thai cooking lessons. The most famous cooking school is SITCA (Samui Institute of Culinary Arts) located in South Chaweng, offering two courses a day including a separate food carving course. Other notable ones are at the restaurants of Central Samui Beach Resort and Santiburi Dusit Resort, offering half-day and one-day courses.
For local products, head out around Chaweng area where you can find ceramic shops, antique shops and many handicrafts produced by the islanders or imported from elsewhere in Thailand.
Spas and massages: Samui is packed with many spa and massage venues. Some are located on the beaches and some are in an old-style wooden house overlooking a pond with fountains. Common routines include aromatherapy and all kinds of massages, facials, waxing, permanent make-up tattoos, and hand foot and nail treatments. Nail treatments including nail extensions in acrylic, French acrylic, gel or fibre glass, are also available.
You can even choose to dine on the beach. Lamai Beach is famous for its Mediterranean restaurants that provide top-class services with quite expensive dishes and extensive menu of drinks. There are also some other local restaurants serving normal Thai cuisine and simple seafood dishes.
