By train: trains also leave from Hua Lumphong Railway Station and stop at Khon Kaen on the way to Udon Thani and Nong Kai. There are several departures a day, some faster than others.
By bus: alternatively, buses are also a good option, with a journey taking about seven hours. There are normal buses, air-conditioned buses and VIP buses. All buses leave from Bangkok’s Northern Bus Terminal (Mo chit 2 Bus Terminal).
