Weather

Weather in Bangkok
Year-round temperature in Thailand is about 26°C average, but in summer, the temperature in Bangkok can go up to 40°C. In theory, winter falls between November and February, summer between March and June, and the rainy season between July and October. But in practice, it is usually hot year-round in Bangkok, yet the temperature drops a few Celsius during the winter and the rainy season.
The best time to visit Bangkok if is during the (so-called) winter, when temperatures can go down to 15°C to 20°C. Summer in Bangkok can be unbearable, while April is the hottest month of the year. However, Songkran Festival (Thai New Year) takes place between the 13th and 15th of April, so you can join the crowd in cooling water fights. During the festival, be aware that you can get wet everywhere you go.
