Introduction to Trat - Koh Kood
Trat is a city and a province next to the border with Cambodia in Thailand’s east. It is a coastal province often visited for its beaches and idyllic islands. There are a number of Trat hotels throughout the province, but some of the most popular are on Koh Kood. Koh Kood is on the western coast of the small island and offers lovely beaches. Though many coastal areas of Thailand have a reputation for being wild party places, this area is peaceful and calm, and definitely not a built-up tourist area. Relax in the peace and quiet of an old style, traditional Thai island, admire the coconut plantations or enjoy swimming or boating on the sparkling blue sea. Snorkelling is popular here, and if you want to visit somewhere a little livelier, simply catch a boat to one of the other islands for the day.
