The province of Trang on southern Thailand’s west coast is filled with sandy beaches, tranquil islands, stunning waterfalls and exotic wildlife. Trang’s natural attractions rival those found in the more famous destinations of Phuket and Krabi but the province remains an unspoiled and uncrowded alternative to southern Thailand’s more popular hotspots. Trang, the capital city which shares the province’s name, is just a short distance away from some of the world’s finest diving spots and a botanical garden with hiking trails through virgin rainforest. Most Trang hotels in the city are geared towards those on business trips but business hotels in Trang are generally affordable accommodations with plenty of amenities for all visitors. Clean guesthouses and apartments for rent are other options for Trang hotels. The Hat Yong Ling National Park is home to a resort neighbouring a tremendous limestone cliff which is the starting point for several boat tours around the park and surrounding islands.
