Introduction to Satun - Koh Lipe
Koh Lipe is a small island which is part of Satun Province. It boasts white sandy beaches and magnificent views over the Andaman. Tourists can enjoy sun tanning and taking refreshing swims in the clear blue water. Snorkelling and diving are popular activities as there is a range of marine life to be spotted. The restaurants on the island sell Thai cuisine and there are only a few that offer Western dishes. At night, you can enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants before heading out to a bar. Tarutao and Langkawi are both in the vicinity of this island. To reach Koh Lipe, you can travel by ferry, with the main departure point being Pak Barra. Ferries depart from this point all year round and there is a maximum of eight boats a day during high season. Other departure points include Koh Phi Phi, Trang and Koh Lanta.
