Introduction to Ranong, Thailand
Thailand’s Ranong province, located on the province’s southwest coast along the Andaman Sea, may be the country’s least populated province, but there are certainly no shortage of interesting attractions and hotels in Ranong. The province’s small capital city of Ranong is best known as one of the most convenient places for foreigners to make visa runs across to the Myanmar town of Kawthoung, just a short boat ride from Ranong. Ranong hotels in the town’s capital city are generally modest, clean and affordable. The most luxurious hotels in Ranong are located near its famous natural hot springs, popular since King Rama V first visited them in 1890 and they are said to have healing powers. Some of Ranong’s luxury hot springs resorts have their own luxury hot tubs, which the general public may use for an extra fee. Three bungalows and campgrounds where visitors must supply their own tents are available for rent at Namtok Ngao National Park, while two bungalow resorts offering a variety of rooms are available at Laem Son National Park.other spellings: ranonghotels, ronong otel, raanong hotell, ranon, ranong hote, rhanong hotles
