Once home to an important royal city and current home of Thailand’s biggest national park, the province of Phetchaburi lies between the Gulf of Thailand and the mountains of the Myanmar border. Many hotels in Phetchaburi are located along the long shoreline of Hat Cha Am, one of Thailand’s most popular beaches, especially among locals. Phetchaburi hotels located in the province’s capital city, also named Phetchaburi, are generally lower budget, with some mid range accommodations situated near the highway. Most hotels in Phetchaburi’s market area are former shop houses converted to accommodations.
